In-Person Postpartum Doula for Mamas and Their Babies under 12-months
Medi-Cal Approved Coverage Throughout California
What Is a Postpartum Doula?
A postpartum doula provides in-home support after your baby is born through their first 12-months, helping families recover, adjust, and thrive during the “fourth trimester” and beyond. We offer emotional reassurance, newborn care guidance, breastfeeding/chestfeeding support, light household help, and practical tips— so you feel cared for and confident.
One 2-Hour Prenatal Visit
- Even before your baby arrives, we’ll meet for a dedicated prenatal visit designed just for postpartum planning. During this time, we’ll: * Talk through your hopes and concerns for the early weeks after birth, including rest, recovery, feeding, and family adjustments. * Create a personalized postpartum plan that maps out support for your healing, bonding time, meals, sleep, and self-care. * Identify your village—partners, family, friends, or community resources who can be part of your support team. * Prepare for realistic needs, from breastfeeding or bottle-feeding questions to setting up your home for comfort and ease. * This visit is about more than checklists—it’s about making sure you feel prepared, supported, and surrounded as you step into life with your newborn.

What Brought Me to Birth Work
My journey into birth work began through a deep recognition that families deserve to be supported—not just during birth, but in the quiet, tender, and often overwhelming days that follow.
When my friend Terry invited me over, more than a decade ago, to help her breastfeed her upset 2-day old, I felt her anxiety and urgency for help. At the time, we didn’t know about what support was available or where to find it or if it even existed. I began to do some online research. I typed in, “How to help a friend with breastfeeding”. And, that’s when I first heard the word, “doula”. Since then, I have become a deeply passionate, certified birth and postpartum doula. She has become a Labor & Delivery Nurse.
Over time, I found myself drawn especially to the postpartum period—where healing, identity shifts, feeding, sleep, and emotional wellbeing all intersect. The adjustments required in every facet of a new parent’s life are best served by a community. From that moment on, I knew supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period was where my heart belonged.
Why I Do This Work
I do this work because I believe the postpartum period is not meant to be navigated alone.
Mothers and families deserve to feel held, informed, rested, and supported—not questioned, dismissed, or left to figure everything out on their own.
My work is rooted in protecting rest, supporting feeding without pressure, and helping families find a rhythm that honors both baby’s development and the family’s wellbeing.
Being invited into such an intimate and powerful moment in a family’s life is something I never take for granted.
What I Bring to Your Postpartum Journey
Families often describe my support style as calming, grounding, nurturing, and deeply intuitive.
When I enter a space—especially overnight—I aim to bring a quiet, steady presence that allows families to truly rest, while knowing their baby is being cared for with attentiveness and respect.
Some of the ways I support families include:
• Responsive newborn care and overnight support
• Lactation and feeding guidance (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding)
• Gentle, developmentally appropriate sleep shaping for babies
• Emotional reassurance and normalization of the postpartum experience
• Creating rhythms that support both baby and parents
• Holding space for the emotional and mental transitions of early parenthood
My goal is always to help you feel safe, confident, and deeply supported throughout your journey. I won’t bring a lot of factual information for you to wrap your head around. Rather, I will lead you with evidence-based practices that will help guide your family toward safety and efficacy.
A Little About Me
Outside of birth work, I value a slower, more intentional way of living. I really love people. I’m so curious about the paths people have walked before intersecting with mine. I love to listen and share life experiences.
I’m a little bit quiet and a little bit loud. It all depends on the setting. I am funny, I think, and I enjoy gentle sarcasm. I love evenings out with friends cheering and chair dancing at local ball games - River Cats, Athletics, Sac Republic, Kings, etc.
I live in the Sacramento area and love quiet mornings, meaningful conversations, and creating spaces where people feel at ease and cared for.
One Thing I Want Families to Know
If there’s one thing I want families to know about me, it’s that you don’t have to perform, prove anything, or have it all figured out in my presence.
You get to be exactly where you are—and I will meet you there with steady support, without judgment.
When I am in your home, you’ll know I am there to help because of the way you’ll feel and heal.
