In-Person Birth Doula El Dorado, Sacramento, Davis and Yolo Counties Medi-Cal Approved
What Is a Birth Doula?
- A birth doula is a trained support person who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational care during labor and birth. Unlike medical staff, a doula’s role is to stay by your side the entire time—offering comfort measures, reassurance, and guidance while also supporting your partner and helping you feel confident and empowered in your choices.
Prenatal Support
- Two in-person or virtual prenatal visits to discuss your birth preferences, create or refine your birth plan, and explore comfort measures that fit your needs.
- Guidance on preparing physically and emotionally for labor.
- Evidence-based resources to help you feel informed and confident in your choices.
